Ginseng + Reishi Tonic // 1 oz
This tincture is intended as a small and humble energetic practice in response to the currents of instability and alienation we’re all moving through.
The reishi was grown by @monvalleymushrooms in Morgantown and double extracted to pull both water-soluble and alcohol-soluble compounds. When used long term, reishi supports deep immunity and strengthens multiple organ systems, but more than that, it “refills the well”, restoring those who have lost vitality to worry and sorrow.
The ginseng is 8-year-old root from Harding Ginseng Farm in Friendsville, grown ethically in soil and conditions that mimic the wild. European Appalachians today are not as familiar with this plant as our ancestors were, when ginseng was an integral part of our medicineways. Indigenous folks, whose knowledge of ginseng stretches back much further, have long honored it as both medicine and sacred plant, calling on it to build vitality and stamina. Like reishi, these actions span body systems and build over time.
Both reishi and ginseng are exceptionally slow-growing deep forest medicines, teaching us perseverance. Together, they are allies to those of us who feel old before our time, helping us navigate the strange and disorienting troubles of the modern world with steady hands and a resilient body.
Ingredients: American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius), reishi (Ganoderma), organic cane alcohol, and spring water
